have a di-804hv dlink router
was OK and am trying to setup the vpn
but can't access the router but no go
have done factory default (with the reset button)
pc shows as 192.168.0.141 gateway as 192.168.0.1
can't access the gateway address ,can't ping it either
also to 4th port on the router is lit solid ,and nothing is plugged into it, I'm connected to port 1 (have tried all ports)

any ideas what could be happening

plug directly in to the dsl/cable modem. if you get a vaild IP and get to internet, your router could be bad

the internet is fine
i just have my pc connected to the router (nothing else )
and can not get into the router (not even ping it)

when i have 2 pc's connected i can see the other pc but not the router itself
