Hi supamags,

Have a look at sitepoint I especially like the way Rachel Andrews writes. The other author I like is Elizabeth Castro - you can get her books at I rather like the Visual Quickstart style because you can pick and choose or read it straight through like a text book. I have just picked up DW8 Recipes by Joseph Lowery & Eric Ott but so far I'm not overly impressed (only read the first few chapters).

I think it's rather hard to give recommendations because what I like about books might be totally different to the way you like to read/learn. One thing I do know, some of the CD training is absolutely awful, and even if you do find a CD worth watching, to find that useful little trick 2 days later is just impossible.

Good luck.
