Hi

we are using dhcp for linux machines.I am not able to telnet my linux box by its host name.I have done necessary entries in host, resolv.conf file and updated the DNS with the host name.Any help or clue on this will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
RK.

What kind of error do you get? Can you simply ping the box? If so, then is telnet running on the target, or is it blocked in services, or by a firewall (besides -- use SSH anyway, it's much more secure).
