Im wondering if anyone can help me set this up...Im a Telco guy not a Network person so excuse my ignorance. I have an NEC VOIP system that I need to do the following...when a phone is plugged into the network it obtains an IP address on the local data network,in the scope it has an option which points it to an FTP server with a config file on it. The file consists of the IP address of the telephone system and the voice vlan info. After the phone loads this file it reboots and then is DCHP searching on the VLAN, the same dhcp server then assigns it an ip in the correct vlan and the phone comes up.
I have all of this working except when the phone reboots and obtains an ip in the vlan scope the phone never comes up,it says sip server not found, obviously the sip server being the phone system..If I look at the ip addresses leased on the dhcp server for the vlan it shows the correct ip addresses assigned to the MAC of the phones even though they dont connect to the phone system.
Sorry this is so lengthy I was trying to give as much info as possible.. Any help or direction with this would be greatly appreciated.
