We have two subnets 10.10.10.x and 10.10.12.x

We had static addresses for the 10.10.10.x and DHCP for the 10.10.12.x subnet.

We are trying to migrate NT4.0 DHCP services from a 10.10.12 machine to a 10.10.10 machine, AND have all computers in both the 10.10.10.x and the 10.10.12.x subnets receive DHCP licencing from a 10.10.10.x NT4.0 DHCP server.

It is not working. Computers previously on the 10.10.12.x subnet cannot see the network once we turn the 10.10.12.x DHCP server off.

Is is possible to have an NT4.0 server assign IPs accross subnets to win95/98 machines?

(tried the winipconfig relase/renew without success).

Thanks,

DHCP is essentially broadcast based to initiate the DHCP server connection, and will not work across subnets.
