once the superscope is configured with different subnet ip's on dhcp server, how can we configure the clients to get ips from different scopes ?? can anyone please advise a solution for this ??
Your question isn't clear... Obviously you can't be asking how to make your clients DHCP-enabled....but there's normally nothing you do on your clients except for to plug them into the network in an appropriate layer 2 region. If you've configured your superscopes properly, they will pull down an appropriate IP for the subnet they are in.
i wud like to know how the clients in different network gets the ip address from a superscope.
eg., i have a superscope which contains 2 subnets... 192.168.10.0 and 192.168.20.0.
i have 10 systems out of that, 5 shud take scope from one and other 5 shud take fm the other scope. i want to know the procedure/steps to be followed to make it working... pls advise.
I've never done this before, but doesn't a superscope have to be a contiguous address range? i.e.
192.168.10.0 and 192.168.20.0 would not work, but 192.168.10.0 and 192.168.11.0 would.
???
Just asking because you may want to clarify that before going any further.
