Hi, i am trying to set up my server 2003 to be a DHCP server with domain controllers but everytime i put this into effect and restart the server it stops at applying settings. I have read that it may be something to do with APC software but when i check for it in safe mode it is not present.

if you can help let me know

thanks roger121

Have you authorised the DHCP server in AD?

The Active directory?, if this is right it will not let me authorise the DHCP server because someone has messed up the settings on this server is thier a way of clearing all the settings on this server so i can start from scratch, then install DHCP and domain controllers?

What error do you get when you try to authorize the DHCP server?

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Hi i have authorised it now but the thing is my server takes 2 hours to log on and bout the same to log off.

Why is this?

any answers will be helpfull thanks
