I've learned the hardway that reseting the DHCP server here disconnects everyone from the network. I'm wondering if this is because the lease timer is set to 1min. I changed the timer to 1 hour, hopefully this will help. I want to reboot the server but I'm reluctant until I get some feed back here. ;)

Thanks!

Do you need your lease to be so short? Unless there is a reason, 3 days is the shortest I would. That way if your server ever goes down, you have a chance to get it back up before leases start to expire. 7-8 days is more typical.

Most clients renew their lease at 50% of the lease time. So for you that would be every 30 seconds. That's a lot of unneeded traffic.

Yea, I didnt set that timer to be so low. I was surprised to see it set the way it was. Like I said, I didn't set that timer that low but I bet I know who did. Certain individuals get 'bright' ideas that don't always turn out to be so bright....
