Hi all.

I have a 3300 whose DHCP server is enabled.
The DHCP server worked fine and IP phones would come up. Now when an IP phone is disconnected it will keep Dicover-ing and not get an IP address. The DHCP pool still has addresses to issue. Rebooting the 3300 does not solve the issue.
What can make an enabled DHCP server not work and how can this be resolved?

Stupid questions but is this one phone or are others also suffering the same issue? If you connect a pc to the phone network does it get an address? Are you sure the IP addresses are gicen out by the dhcp and are not fixed address?

In addition to Wireman50's questions

Is the phone system on a Vlan and does the phone acquire that vlan before discovery
Are you showing any leases handed out by the 3300

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

All the phones have the same issue when unplugged.
There are no static IP configurations on the phones. PC connected directly to the 3300 does not get an address.
Using default vlan none. 3300 shows leases acquired sometime back not yet expired.

Tinos kwb asked this
"Is the phone system on a Vlan and does the phone acquire that vlan before discovery"

what is the network configuration including Ip addresses

is it Mitel --- untagged voice vlan port in switch ---- phone

when the phone boots watch and list out the stages displayed

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Mitel is on vlan 1 and connected to a switch with all ports in vlan 1.
All IP phones are connected to the same switch. When phones boot they show vlan none and discover

Ok what sort of switch is it , is there any config in the switch related to a voice vlan

what do you have in mitel for dhcp options ( list them)

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
