Hi,

I have set up my DHCP server to work only on a per MAC address reservation basis. What I would like to achieve now, is to see when a Mac address gets denied because its not registered. This info I would like to feed to IPSentry and have an email alert set.

In other words, is it possible to have DHCP server log to Event Viewer? It logs to %%\system32\DHCP\ but not to Event Viewer.

Thanks a lot for any help, alternative options are also welcomed. All I need is an email alert when somebody is denied a DHCP given IP,

id say vbscript running in background reading the file line by line every couple/few minutes for a string of denied, and when found, send an email alert containing the files line stating the deny...
