DHCP Server HELP!!!

Does anyone knows what's going on with my PC?
Yesterday, I accidentally released my IP thru the winipcfg.exe but when i click renew, i waited for about 5mins then an error with a msg:
Error
DHCP Server Unavailable: Renewing adapter""
i tried a lot of times and even tried fter restarting comp and shut down comps but still get that error everytime i renew my ip...
So, I formatted my comp to see how but still, I get that stupid error msg! Now, I can't use internet on that computer and have to come over to another computer to use...this computer is sharing the same internet connection with the having problem one but i tried release and renew the ip on this computer which is still ok and nothing happened!

Your post may perhaps be more appropriate in the Windows 95/98 forum.

That said, maybe you should try assigning an IP manually. Or perhaps you have any other adapters that you should maybe be trying to renew. Marc Creviere
