I have a WINNT 4.0 issuing leases to other workstations from other domain's on the WAN. This was a shock to see, we just added a fiber optic cable between buildings. When I was looking in the DHCP Server, I was aghast to see workstation ID's from the two other buildings had been issued leases on the server that the other two domains have no trust relationship on this particular server. How would one lock them out of the DHCP server so they would not be able to receive leases?

Thank you!

There are a number of solutions :

1. Fill your DHCP scope with reservations,
fill in the rest of the scope with bogus (fake) MAC addresses
-> this way nobody else can get an IP address

or
2. make sure the 2 sites are in a different subnet, and make sure your router is not allowing bootp/dhcp forwarding... Peter Van Eeckhoutte
