dhcp server field issues

a continuation of my last thread... under the field dhcp server... i went to change the address range, after i hit submit i quickly got an error message then before i could read it was disconnected from the bcm.

I rebooted and am now back in element manager. I went back to the dhcp server field and the only thing in there is general settings, but there is nothing in that field. And everything else has seemingly vanished.

any ideas?

I rebooted bcm again... and now it wont even let me into bcm... it tells me invalid password even though i know i am spelling it correctly caps is off etc...

i tried the default just in case but that did not work either.

am i screwed?

And if my day could get worse...

I cannot do a level 1 reset unless i have the password? (for 5.0 and up)

is that not the point of a level 1 reset?

update just in case anyone runs into getting locked out


there are only 2 options... A. pay avaya a ridiculous fee to come in and remotely change the password

B. replace the hard drive

Do you have an alternative accoount you can try? I always create two accounts with admin rights just in case someone changes the nnadmin password.

no it was just the nnadmin,

i believe i got locked out when i tried the "nortel paper clip reset"

It still says you can do this in the documentation, but after it did not work (and i was locked out) i found that you cannot use this method.

creating two accounts is a good idea, i will start doing that from now on, but i think it locked me out for good no matter what account i would have had
