hi all,

I want to ask u somethings. In my working place, most of the pcs are using wireless with DHCP. I have DHCP infrastructure already. i want to generate IP by DHCP with MAC. If the MAC is not match, i don't want to lease any IP and access.
eg... jf049d9f8ri4 is trusted MAC.
if9d0f8g9f0s is Unknown MAC.
I want to generate IP address for jf049d9f8ri4 only.

Can i make what i want in DHCP server in 2003?
If yes, pls guide me how to make.

thanks

You have 10 workstations.

Create a scope with only 10 addresses in it.

Create reservations for each of those 10 addresses.

They will only be given to the PC that has the assigned MAC.

The DHCP/DNS/WINS forum is the best place for this question.
