I am running 2003 server on our lan with about 100 desktops. I am running static i.p. addresses on all but I want to switch to static on the servers and DHCP on the clients. I also have a sonicwall tz-170 that runs dhcp for a small block of addresses (5) for our VPN connections. When I configure the 2003 server to run DHCP my clients get the i.p. handed to them by the firewall/gateway, not the server. How can I force the server as the one to use?

Thanks in advance,

Shannan

Turn off the DHCP on your firewall and let your server handle it through RAS.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.
