DHCP Problems

I know, I know, you should only have one DHCP server running at a time. Regardless, I have two and that is part of my problem.

The router was originally set as DHCP server, but now I'm trying to migrate the DHCP to the domain server and I'm running into problems. The router and server have different scopes, so there is no ovrelap or conflict there.

Both seem to co-exist OK, but I'm getting errors in the system event viewer as follows:

Event ID 1070
Iashlpr initialization failed 1060, so DHCP server cannot talk to NPS server.

I don't know if this is really something critical or something that can be ignored. I tried installing NPS, but then the clients cannot get on the internet for some reason, so I've uninstalled it.

How serious is this?
What are the adverse effects of just using the router as the sole DHCP server?

I only have about 30 clients, but it's not feasable to change all to the server DHCP at one time just to see if it works correctly. For that reason, I'm doing a few at a time until all are migrated to the server, then I can disable the router DHCP.

Any advice, tips, recommendations are greatly appreciated.
