Hi,

I'm running a DHCP-service on my Win 2000 server.

Problem:
When users log on to the domain using DHCP it will not run the login script or map any networkdrives during login.
If I log on the same PC's using fixed IP then the it map up the networkdrives when the login script runs.
The DHCP settings are the same as with fixed IP.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

sounds like DNS screw up to me. GPO stuff relies on DNS to function correctly - would start looking there.

Make sure that you AUTHORIZE your DHCP server. It sounds like you not getting an IP address from the DHCP server.

Make sure that your actually getting an IP address. From a command prompt type: IPCONFIG /RELEASE

then type: IPCONFIG /RENEW

Finally type: IPCONFIG /ALL to view your IP settings. Make sure that DNS and Gateway are correct...as well as the other settings.

Can you browse the network when you have a DHCP address? Can you map drive manually?

-hope this helps..

If you get an ip address like 169.254.x.x, then your clients could not find the dhcp server or the dhcp service is not running.
