dhcp not working

I'm trying to connect my ultra sparc machine to the internet via adsl. However during the dhcp loading bit at the begining it always times out. Even though I can the recieving LEDs flashing of the adsl unit.

any help is all good.

You can try add some options to the PARAM_REQUEST_LIST in /etc/default/dhcpagent. Just as an example i think a friend of mine didn't have the right DNS set. For a complete list look in /etc/dhcp/inittab. You can of course add the whole list but makes a lot of inforrmation to process each time you connetct.
