In Windows 2000 with only one DHCP server, I added a new scope 172.20.2.0 to the existing 172.20.1.0 scope. I intend to superscope and use the expanded scope to give more addresses available for lease.
Do I have to use the DHCP server as a router also to route between these two subnets? What else do I need to consider.
Thanks in advance.

You would not use DHCP Server as a router. The main idea is to make sure the DHCP requests are hitting the server. Depending on which type of routers you are using, you need them to be able to allow DHCP broadcasts to travers the router. Cisco uses an IP-Helper to accomplish this.
