Currently we have two VLANs for our Nortel phones (98 and 202). We have VLAN 98 pulling a DHCP address and it works fine.

Option Name
128 Nortel-i2004-A
144 Voice VLAN

Value
Nortel-i2004-A,xxx.xx.98.2:4100,1,10.
VLAN-A:98.

When we try to add VLAN 202 using option 191 it does not work, it will not pull a DHCP address on the phones. How do I set up DHCP with two VLANs?

Thanks

OK, what is your suggestion on how to get it to work in both VLANs 98 and 202?

IPs would be something like this xxx.xx.98.1 and xxx.xx.202.1, when working.

What do I need to add into the DHCP scope?

I think you would need to configure DHCP Relay on the VLANs on the data switches so that all requests for DHCP are directed to the same DHCP server regardless of the VLAN from where they originated.

Indeed, that is the way it is set up. They are getting an IP address, just the wrong one. We have two different Voice VLANs set up.

That could require manual vlan entries on keypad or different dhcp servers as hosts on different networks

Configure each VLAN as a scope on the server and then use relay on your switches for each VLAN, Simple :)

I've seen some different syntax for option 191 and a voice vlan. Can someone post their config for making this work on a cisco POE switch?
