Whenever I boot up an NT 4.0 SP 6 PC the DHCP service is not starting up. It says to check event viewer to see what's happening. I check under EV and it just says that the service failed to start. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? Any/all help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Is it set to start automatically first of all? (let's start with the obvious). Check in services that it is not set to start with something odd. Automatic and log on as system account (should be greyed out).

Assuming that is the case:

IP address of the NT server should be in the same range as the scope. Scope is legal. Server is not asking for a dhcp address from itself.

If this does not point you in the right direction, list more info.
