We have a remote site connected via a wan link that gets dhcp from a server at corporate. The remote wan router has the 'ip helper-address' statement in the config. We are moving a domain controller to the remote site to hand out dhcp. Does the 'ip helper-address' statement need to be removed from the remote router or will the dhcp be handled by the new domain controller due to it being local on the remote subnet?

I would remove the iphelper statement from the router.
