If I have a Windows NT 4.0 domain with a Windows 2000 server, and install DHCP on the W2K server, will it run?

I know in an AD domain you have to have an Enterprise Admin authorise the DHCP server before it will start up and give out client IPs.

Yes it will. Once you set up DHCP with a scope, you can then authorise it, and it will start handing out addresses.

Err, how do you authorise it though if you don't have an Enterprise Admin user (as its a Windows NT domain)?

The W2K server is simply a member server...

You dont need to authorize anything with an NT domain. Just activate your scopes
