Hi, we have an x250e that we have setup some vlans on. We are trying to route between two of the vlans. This works fine as we have carried out the following on the default setup:
Added ports to the new vlans.(untagged) VLAN1 and VLAN2.
enabled ipforwarding.
set an ip address for both VLAN1 and VLAN2.
enabled DHCP bootprelay.
We use DHCP on our network; the DHCP server is a Windows 2003 box.
I can only ping/route between the vlans if I set a static IP on my machine and specify the IP address of VLAN1 as my gateway(or one of the gateways).
Is there a way to allow the DHCP server to do this-ie in scope or server options so that my machine can continue to get all the right options(eg dns/router info)?
I guess I'm trying to figure out how I can pass the gateway info and what would be the best setup.
Our current gateway is simply our edge router. But for any routing to take place between the vlans then I need to set the gateway info differently.
