I am having problems getting an IP assigned to my laptop.

I am running Win2000 Pro and trying to connect to a linksys cable modem/dsl Router. I am using a linksys PC100M card. I have the DHCP settings mirroring my desktop wich works fine. All the LEDs on the router and PC card light up correctly.

I have tried manually configuring the IP address into the card, which assigned correctly, but did not connect to the network correctly (couldn't ping router, or get to internet). The cable is fine. I have almost come to the realization that perhaps the Net Card doesn't work correctly. Any other ideas? Thanks.
