I have a DC with DFS installed in one domain.
I have a trust relationship with another separate domain.
I can access the server and share via \\server\share$
I can map the drive using net use \\server\share /user:doamin\administrator

I'm trying to setup a replication partner [group] using DFS. From Domain 1 shared folder to domain 2 folder.
I keep getting the following error.

Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

I can browse to the share fine but i get this authentication error when trying to set the replication partner.

Any help would be appreciated!

From what I've read it seems it is possible.
The issue I am having now is, I used to be able to add users from these external domains to e.g. a share, but now I cant even do that.
According to the other offices all trusts are still in place.
Any idea what has gone wrong?
