I created domain dfs on 2003 server.

It is accessible. When users access the shares

\\DOMAIN\DFS\SHARES

Copying, navigating, opening docs will completely hang and lock up the machine.

I went through the share settings changed caching and order however it still hangs. What is the recommended setting or keep defaults?

did you create it on a dedicated file server would be my first question?
