Hello I have DFS installed on my Domain Controller which is a WIn2k3 SP2 Server. I also have member server (win2k Server)that has a share called Vol2. Is there a way to replicate this share so that if the member server goes down my users can still access the file in it but from a different server(i have an available server for this). I believe I can use replication? If so is there a limit on how much data you can have in the share for replication purposes? The vol2 share has 35 GB of data, this worries me because of bandwidth...how does the replication work? does it replicate everything? only files that changed? what about files that are open by users and are being edited, how do those get replicated? is this even doable? should i try a different solution such as mirroring the drive that holds the share?

Thanks so much for your help...

You'd be much better off if both of the servers were 2003 R2, as the DFS in that is much superior.
