Planning on setting up DFS at my current location. I know Microsoft does not recommend you use DFS replication for roaming user profiles. However, does anyone know if we can replicate redirected folders (appdata, my docs, my desktop, etc..).

I'm working out the logic in my head and the only down side I see is if a user uploads a large file onto their desktop and it takes some time to replicate to the other server. If the user logs onto another machine they may not see the file they placed on their desktop because it's still replicating.

Or does replication occur in real time as the file is being sent over. Or does it happen after the file is completely sent to the first server.

I really couldn't find anything online documenting this so anyone with experience would be of great help.
