Hi All
We have some PC's here which are working just fine for one user and they can access DFS shares no problem. However, when any other user logs onto those PC's, they are unable to access any DFS shares. The users can access the DFS root and can see the shares underneath, but when they double click them they get the usual error message saying check permissions etc.
From the same PC, the same users can access each of the individual shares on the relevant file servers. Likewise, from their own PC they can also access the DFS share without any problem.
Rebooting the PC multiple times has never fixed the issue. And likewise, I've run dfsutil /pktflush but to my surprise this didn't resolve the issue either.
Does anybody have any ideas what on earth might cause this ? There are no firewalls between the PC and the file servers or DC's (although they are on separate subnets) and as I said, the "main" user of that PC can access the same resources without any problems.
The only thing I can think of is that perhaps the 3G datacard software has changed some registry entries that might have caused this problem. Does anybody have any other suggestions or explanations ??
