I need to dump out Distributed File System data from LDAP queries with VBScript. If memory serves me correct, there is DFS data stored in AD in some attributes/objects. I need to be able to run 1 script in 1 place that will identify all the namespaces and other relevant data for an enterprise, so looking at WMI on the servers is not an option. Unfortunately, I do not have access to adsiedit to even look at the environment right now, so i am reaching out for help.

I need to know what data regarding DFS is stored in AD and where to find it. Also if anyone knows of any vbscript code to grab it offhand, I am all ears :).

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

all that is stored in AD is the name of the DFS replica set. Thats it. Same with the registry. If all you want is the DFS tree info, then that'll work. If you want file info, not happening via AD or registry....
Yo ucan run any script from one place, its just a matter of pointing it to run commands against other servers.
