Hi,

I have a system that shows the following:

Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/amrd0s1a 516062 511934 -37156 108% /

How do I find out what, (and where to look,) I can clean out?

Thanx,

Bruce

find / -xdev -type f | xargs ls -l | sort -nr +4 | more

108%! That's some machine! The usual suspects can be core files and log files in the /var directory structure(assuming it's not separate to root) such as wtmp and wtmpx. kHz's find will tell you more about what files are large and could possibly be cleaned up.
