At the end of the day when I need to shutdown, my system hangs then an end task dialog box appears for devldr. I click the end task button and my system does one of two things:
-Hangs for about five+ minutes then shuts down.
-Never shutsdown.

Has anyone encountered this before. I am using CF studio 4.5.2 on a Win2000 system. Keep in mind that this only happens after using CF Studio for at least 30 minutes.

Any help would be great. Thanks
Josh

I don't believe this is a ColdFusion issue:

Windows 2000 Shutdown Process Stops and Error Message Refers to Devldr Program

SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to shut down your computer and then restart it, an error message may report that the Devldr program is not responding. When you click End Now, the shutdown process may stop and the computer may stop responding.

CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the Creative Labs driver Devldr is not compatible with Windows 2000.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, remove the Devldr driver and then disable the Devldr service.

rename the devldr16.exe, devldr32.exe to .old and then they won't even startup. Haven't had any sound or hanging problem since. Give it a try!

Oh wow! I uuuhhh. Sorry to bother the CF panel. But, I could have sworn this started happening after CF was installed. I thought I would try and update my drivers first. I also looked on MS site. Thanks.
