We installed a p520 using a mksysb from a 6C1 (yes, I know we shouldn't have done it that way). Now when I run a cfgmgr, the system complains that a device package isn't installed:

# cfgmgr
cfgmgr: 0514-621 WARNING: The following device packages are required for
device support but are not currently installed.
devices.chrp.ibm.bsr:devices.chrp.ibm.bsr

Has anybody ever seen a message like this and solved it?

I can't find the package on IBM's website.

Thanks, Jim. I found out I needed APAR IY63501, which has the 41 levels of devices.chrp.pci.rte, devices.common.rspcbase.rte, and devices.pci.isa.rte.

But I'm going to keep your tip in mind for the future.
