Device shows no tape

I have Brighstor 11.1. The tape does not show up in the devices. I have stopped the tape engine and restarted without luck. I have restarted the tape drive no luck. i have replaced the tape and no luck. What am I missing?

unpluged power an dongel on unit and tape now shows up..
