Device not ready error

Hi,
I'm getting the device not ready error on making any changes on my Sharepoint Portal Server console, like if I add my email address in the gatherer email and click "apply" or "Ok" it gives me this "device not ready error". I've tried restarting the services and server but didn't work.

Any help will be appreciated.
