I installed a HP Printer hp psc 1610x to my computer and when i checked the device manager under the drives, it shows 2 drives one being the c drive and another one referring to the printer and was wondering why the printer is being shown as a drive.

amanua,

Just a hunch, but does that printer have a built-in card reader? If so, it may have assigned resources to the printer's card reader so that you can access the files on inserted media cards from your PC.
