Device is Offline

I have Brightstor Arcserve 9.0 Build 2052, installed on Windows 2003 Server SP1.

When I try and Mount/Inventory or any other commands from the Device tab, a message pops up saying that 'The Device is offline'.

I shut down the Tape Drive & Server, started the Tape drive, waited for it to initialise, waited another couple of minutes, the powered on the Server - still same message. I've done this twice now.

Can anyone suggest how to fix?

I have this issue all of the time with 11.5. What I usually do is start the device config over again and it works.

This is a pretty annoying issue though, and I would think there would be a better way than to start over.
