Device Block Size

How can I view/amend the block size on a tape device on Solaris?

I understand that with AIX there is a command smit. Is there something similar on Solaris?

I have always used the dd command to write tapes, and the mt command to rewind/erase them. man is pretty good on dd I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
