device allocation out of space

Greetings,

My device has all of its space allocated for multiple databases. I can't create a new partition but using veritas I can grow the current device partition. How can I get Sybase to understand the device partition is now larger?

I may not be asking properly since I am a Sybase neophyte so here is the error:


CREATE or ALTER DATABASE failed because the device 'cascview_device' has no
space available either for log or for data.

hello...

i don't think you can change the set values for the device once it is in...

why don't you try adding a new device name that uses a filesystem in that partition using disk init...
