Devenv.exe Application Error!! HELP!!!

I'm sort of new at InterDev so please bear with me. My company's website was created by an outside source. They have gone out of business and now I am in charge of all updates and changes to the site. I am very familiar with Frontpage and can use it for many of the things I need to do but a lot of the programming was done in InterDev and must be updated with InterDev. Well, this has not been a problem for the last few months until now. I don't know what I did but as of yesterday, when I open InterDev and try to open a file in the web folder, Interdev shuts down and I get an error generated by Dr. Watson. The error reads: An application error has occured and an application error log is being generated. DEVENV.exe
Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x5e016eb5

Does anyone know what this means or should I also post the info from the error log? Any info would be greatly appreciated as I am in a bind and need to fix something ASAP!!!! Thank You.

This a very serious bug in Interdev. You could find more info about this on the microsoft site.

Search for Visual Interdev on the site and when it asks you to type a question enter this

Exception: access violation (0xc0000005)

They have also posted a fix for the bug.

Thanks for the info. I tried what Microsoft suggested but nothing has worked so far. I downloaded the newest service packs but when I run them, the same error pops up even when InterDev is not running. I'm losing my mind now!!!
