Hello Everyone,

I have a quick question regarding to what type of technology that i should approach to solve this bottleneck:

Currently, I have this Excel spreadsheet that contains records that everyone views and writes and updates and saves. That means everyone has different access rights to this spreadsheet. Overtime, this spreadsheet grows and grows and eventually it starts crashing.

From your experience, can i develop something by using VB or VB.net with SQL from scratch with minimal experience of programming experience. If so, what is your recommendations on books that i should buy to prepare for this project?

Thank you for your help.

Well, if you're familiar with Excel and it's just a very large spreadsheet, maybe Access is enough to go.

Cheers,
Dian
