If you are not familiar with C, then you could try the following:

Very much like VB, in fact you need VB 6 to run it. Very easy to use, but VERY expensive. Currently $699.00(plus the cost of VB6 if you don't already have it) for Palm OR Windows CE version. If you want to program for both it is $899.00(plus VB6)

Again very VB like, however, the syntax is not EXACTLY like VB6 and you don't need VB6 to run it. MUCH more affordable than Appforge. $149.95 for Palm OR Windows CE

This one is not exactly like VB, but more like Pascal. MUCH more affordable than Appforge. $84.95 for the basic program for Palm, $284.95 for the Pro version. (You can buy the basic and then if you want, buy the Pro for $200.00) A Windows CE version is in the works.

I have used the Demo version off Appforge, and while very easy to use, the cost is just to high for me and the .prc's require a runtime and take up too much room.

I have downloaded the demo's of the other two, but have not had time to try them yet.

For a fairly good (but somewhat out-of-date comparison) go to
For more current details go to the individual sights.
