I have Access 2003 installed on my machine and develop for a number of users who all use different versions of Access. Often this causes problems when converting to different versions etc. To try and overcome this I was wondering if it is viable to install different versions of Access on my machine (stand alone laptop)inorder to develop in the correct version or at least to be able to test the databases after conversions etc. Any advise would be appreciated.Thanks.

It is possible to install multiple versions of Access on a single PC but you can never be sure that your tests are valid. You might find that code runs in Access 2000 on your PC because it's found a shared component that was installed by Office XP.

The only answer I've found is to have four PCs - one each for Office 97, 2000, XP and 2003. Not an expensive business - 97 and 2000 are running on a pair of worthless PCs which only get fired up when I need to run tests.
