All,
I'm really hoping someone can help me. I'll try to make this as short as possible. I've got an '03 server, Linksys wireless G router.
For the longest time I've had two Dells and an Acer laptop successfully connected to the network/internet. However, I recently had to reimage the Acer and have had the worst time getting it to reconnect. On the server I'm using WPA PreSharedKey (TKIP). The Acer WIFI dialog doesn't even give me the option to connect with this method. There's a checkbox for Data Encryption (WEP enabled), one for Shared mode, a spot for my network key a couple of times. I keep getting a message that says "The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hex characters."
So what's this message, can I update my Acer dialog so that I have more connection options (I've downloaded all the new drivers with no new options) and just what is going on?
I'm clueless and I really need some help.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Micah
