Develop a GUI frontend on VB6 on the PC for Excel to run on the Mac?

Hello, Sorry pl do not flame me if this sounds like a newbie or a naive Q! Am new to this. A friend asked me as a volunteer effort if i could write a GUI application to frontend their database on excel which runs on Macs!. Can this be done at all? I have VB6 on the PC and am familiar with these things for the PC. But is there a way develop a GUI in VB 6 that will run on the mac? Any pointers in these regards would be a huge help! Thanks :) jay.
