Hi,

When I try to 'll' the contents of two directories mounted on /dev/vg01, the system hangs. I can do a simple 'ls' and see the contents. A bdf also hangs whereas a 'df -k' provides:

/mnta1 (/dev/vg01/lvabin ) : 5991751 total allocated Kb
4495679 free allocated Kb
1496072 used allocated Kb
24 % allocation used
and
/snap (/dev/vg01/lvasnap ) : 2430836 total allocated Kb
2429093 free allocated Kb
1743 used allocated Kb
0 % allocation used

We had a disk blow last year but when that happened, the contents of the mountpoints simply disappeared. Any ideas?

All other mountpoints for /dev/vg00 & /dev/vg02 seem fine.

Thanks,
Sean

Hi,
Don't you have any NFS mount points on /mnta1 and /snap?

Are there any suspicious messages logged to syslog.log?

Can you cd to /mnta1 and run:
# ll -d *
and next
# ll
Will it hang in any of the cases above?
