Determining who deleted a file

If this is not the proper forum for this, I apologize in advance. Is it possible on a windows platform to determine who deleted a file?

Don't know the answer to that, just wanted to add that we have that same problem and have been unable to find a solution as well. Have you been able to stop users from deleting files in the first place? Or are permissions that stop users from deleting files also stopping them from changing or creating files too?
 
Yes depending on the platform and network setup. Re-post the question with the appropriate platform. If you're using Windows 2000 Server, post the question there, etc. Good luck.
