I received a logo that needs a change to it - I need to add the letter "s". The type has been converted to outlines. Is there a way to determine what font was used?
(Illus. CS3 - PC)

No. It's now a graphic. Best you can do is look at similar fonts until you get a good match or ask the sender if they have it without outlined fonts.

Using OSX 10.3.9 & 10.4.11 on a G4, G5 & Intel Macbook

That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping that with CS3 there'd be a way to tell. Oh well. Thanks anyway.

That whatthefont is great, but make sure that letters are as clear as possible and not connected for it to work best. If that can't determine what font it is, they have a forum where you can post a jpg of the text for people to see and guess at.
good luck!
