I have been working with Definity / Communication Manager for a little over a year. I've picked it up quickly, but some of the terminology still escapes me. I have reviewed this document, but did not see what I am looking for.

I am looking to make some infrastructure changes and I need to know how many members I am using simultaneously for any given trunk. (At the least I want to be able to see the peak for a day)

For instance if I have 10 CO lines but no more than 3 are ever in use simultaneously, I can pull a few out.

All the documentation I have read seems to lean towards "we will show you when you become undersized and you can determine how much to bump up capacity".

A couple of BCMS commands will provide you with trunk traffic data:

list bcms summary trunk xxx
list bcms trunk xxx
monitor traffic trunk (real time traffic)

Even easier....use ASA under the FAULT & PERFORMANCE tab and go to TRUNK ANALYZER. This will start to collect data on a daily basis and give you your required trunks.
